2007 Lady Indians - District & Area Champions with 10-2 Record, Season Record 16-17.

The team was district co-champions with Strawn with a record of 9-1. After winning the Area Championship, the girls were defeated in the regional quarterfinals by Crowell. The Lady Indians' season record was 16-17 reflecting a very tough pre-district schedule which proved beneficial in district.

Toy Pendergrass was named district "Defensive Player of the Year," and Meranda Gaston was named "Offensive Player of the Year." Coach Humphrey was named "Coaches of the Year" along with Strawn's Joe Crabb. The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches named Meranda Gaston and Toy Pendergrass to the All-Region team. In addition, Meranda Gaston was named to the All-State team by the TABC.

This team completed their winning season at the Nacogdoches regional semifinals falling to the Tenaha Tigers . Lipan entered the game in pursuit of the school's 5th regional championship in a row. Notable for this team was that it returned no starters from the prior season, and Coach Cody Chandler, a member of the 1994 state champions, was in his inaugural year coaching the varsity. With this season, the Indians extended the school's streak of 17 district championships. Season record: 25-9. Was ranked as high as 5th in the state by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches.

According to the Hood County News: The boys' varsity team reached the regional tournament for a 6th consecutive season, the 9th in 10 years; and reached the 3rd round of the playoffs for a 12th consecutive year, the 15th in 16 years. (Prior to Chandler's debut, the Indian varsity was coached by Tommy Bleeker for 16 years.)
